Final Cut Pro Project
In this project, I learned a lot about what it takes to take good video shots and sound bites and how to put it all together in Final Cut Pro. The story focuses in on a land dispute between a land developer and a recycling company just outside of Austin.
Soundslide Project:
In this project, I was able to work on my photo taking skills and interviewing skills as well as being able to learn how to edit audio with Audacity and putting the audio and photos together with Soundslides. This project focuses in on how the food trucks on South Congress are going to be affected with a hotel reportedly being in the planning stages to be built on the site.
Feature Writing
Above is an example of my feature writing from my arena football site. It is my best feature I have ever written and was fun to write. Writing about a national league, such as the Arena Football League, is much tougher than writing about local things. It's much harder to coordinate interviews and get the interviews you need for the story. Thankfully, I was able to get the interviews I needed for this story and was able to put together a very strong feature that was met with positive reviews.
